La Zenia is a small urbanization located on the south-eastern coastal region of the Costa Blanca that is part of the municipality of Orihuela. The region exhibits a gentle, predominantly flat landscape, a common feature of Mediterranean coastal areas. La Zenia boasts a delightful and healthful Mediterranean microclimate. This translates to relatively low annual rainfall, abundant sunshine gracing the region for around 325 days each year. The presence of the nearby salt lakes of Torrevieja to the north, combined with the absence of heavy industrial activity, fosters a notably clean environment. The air quality here is excellent and enriched with natural iodine, believed to alleviate the effects of chronic health conditions such as cardiovascular diseases, rheumatism, and skin disorders.
La Zenia is located approximately 8 km of Torrevieja and is well-connected to the A7 highway that gives access to bigger cities like Murcia or Alicante. In addition, it is close to the N-332 that covers the coastline of La Zenia from north to south. There are two international airports close to La Zenia, Alicante airport on 1 hour drive and Covera Región de Murcia Airport on a 45 minute drive. Within La Zenia, there is an excellent public bus network as well.
Healthcare
In the small urbanization of La Zenia, the facilities for healthcare are limited. You can find local nutritionists, therapists, dentists, physical therapists, pharmacies, and wellness salons in the town center. However, in the surrounding towns there are more facilities. The public medical center Centro de Salut in La Regia and the GP MedB Health Clinic in Punto Marina are only 5 minutes by car.

La Zenia offers a comprehensive range of amenities, including a vibrant array of bars, restaurants, supermarkets, shopping centers. The Villamartin Golf Club that opened in 1972 is the ideal court for golf lovers. The La Zenia boulevard mall was opened in 2012 and offers a variety of 150 shops, restaurants, and free parking spaces. It s now the biggest mall in the region of Alicante. The most important beach of La Zenia is called Cala Bosque and offers a quiet and child-friendly environment. Top-tier fine dining establishments, charming baroque cafes, cozy bistros, and La Zenia's vibrant culinary scene collectively present a diverse array of culinary delights, spanning the entire spectrum of global cuisine choices.
